Rust Brocade Banarasi Kurta Set with Bird Motif Dupatta

A richly worked pairing in deep autumnal tones — a rust Banarasi brocade kurta fabric covered edge to edge in gold-toned zari, matched with a deep coffee-brown dupatta carrying one of the most charming motifs we've come across: woven birds.

The kurta fabric is a full brocade — a dense, continuous jaal of paisleys and flowering vines in gold-toned zari across a rust ground. There's no plain space on this fabric; the weave carries the entire surface, giving stitched garments a substantial, occasion-ready presence.

The dupatta tells its own story. Small birds in alternating gold-toned and silver-toned zari are scattered across the deep brown body, while the pallu features large perched birds with berry sprigs — a motif rarely seen at this scale. Bands of woven leaf jaal frame the pallu, the edge is finished with a gold-toned border, and handmade tassels in brown and cream complete both ends.

Bird motifs of this kind are a distinctive find, and the pairing of a fully brocaded kurta with a pictorial dupatta makes this set feel like two conversation pieces in one.

Please note: this is a two-piece set comprising kurta fabric and dupatta only — no trouser or bottom fabric is included. Brown or rust silk trousers keep the palette warm and tonal; antique gold also works beautifully.
