The piece & its details
A rose-mauve Banarasi in mulberry silk, covered in oversized chrysanthemum blooms that shade through rose, magenta and soft grey. The scale of the flowers is what sets it apart: full-bloom jaal, not a scattered buti.
The border runs kalga leaves in gold-toned zari, while the pallu opens into a broad gold panel of fine diagonal lines edged with the same kalga work. Made for receptions, mehendis and evening functions where pink should photograph beautifully.
