The piece & its details
A pastel stripe Banarasi katan silk sari with sky blue, lavender, pale yellow and pearl tones woven into the body as vertical warp stripes. Fine gold vine lines run between the colours, giving the pastel ground a quiet rhythm.
The border adds a denser gold frame, and the pallu turns fully rich with a heavy gold zari field and teal tassels at the end. For daytime festive occasions and cultural events where a Banarasi should feel contemporary, fresh and still unmistakably woven.
