The piece & its details
A mustard and silver Banarasi katan rangkat sari, woven in large scalloped bands of warm mustard and cool silver-cream. Both fields carry dense silver-toned zari, so the sari shifts constantly between warmth and shine.
The pallu carries the rangkat language into a richer silver surface, and the hot pink petni at the end gives the whole piece its final jolt of colour. For Diwali, wedding functions and festive evenings where the detail should be remembered.
