Gold Tissue Banarasi Kurta Set with Meenakari Floral Dupatta

One of the most distinctive sets in our collection — a shimmering gold Banarasi double tissue kurta fabric paired with a tissue dupatta carrying hand-guided meenakari florals in a full spectrum of colour.

The kurta fabric has the characteristic soft lustre of double tissue, woven with small butas across the body. Its border is where it comes alive: a Paithani-inspired band of muniya motifs in red with touches of silver-toned detail, edged with temple-style triangular points — a striking placement for the hem and sleeves when stitching.

The dupatta carries the same border language and builds on it. Sprays of flowers in meenakari work — pink, teal, mustard, red, and blue — bloom across the sheer tissue ground, scattered with small white butis. The pallu section layers a woven zari band with muniya motifs picked out in multicolour meena, finished with handmade tassels along the edge.

Paithani-style borders on a Banarasi tissue ground are an unusual crossover, and the meenakari colour work makes each motif read almost like embroidery. This is a set for someone who wants ivory-gold neutrality with genuine personality in the detail.

Please note: this is a two-piece set comprising kurta fabric and dupatta only — no trouser or bottom fabric is included. Gold tissue or ivory silk trousers keep the look tonal; a deep red bottom picks up the border beautifully.
