The piece & its details
A forest green Banarasi katan silk sari covered in a full polychrome meenakari rose-vine jaal. Pink, magenta, teal, amber and cream blooms run across the body, with the deep green appearing only as the space between the flowers.
The border continues the floral vocabulary in gold, while the pallu turns more structured with boteh forms and a vivid blue petni at the end. For weddings and receptions where colour, craft and weight should all be fully present.
