The piece & its details
A warm coral katan silk kurta fabric with a fine self-tone chevron weave running throughout — subtle texture rather than pattern, letting the silk's natural sheen carry the piece. A slim gold-toned tissue border trims the edge.
Paired with a striking Banarasi dupatta in deep crimson-red, woven in a bandhani-inspired diamond lattice of gold-toned zari dotted with tiny gold accents, opening into a rich floral kalga border along both ends. Fine tassels finish the dupatta edge in matching red.
Katan silk gives the kurta fabric a fine, supple hand that drapes and stitches cleanly, while the dupatta's dense zari weave adds a formal, festive contrast against the plain coral ground.
Please note: this is a two-piece set comprising kurta fabric and dupatta only — no trouser or bottom fabric is included. Deep red or maroon silk trousers keep the palette rich and tonal; antique gold also works beautifully for a touch of contrast.
