The piece & its details
A burnt orange Banarasi mulberry silk sari worked in a close cream-zari register rather than high-contrast gold. Small marigold bootis sit quietly across the warm ground, so the body reads rich and textured before it reads decorative.
The border builds through vine, sawtooth and diamond bands, and the pallu opens into a dense geometric lattice in the same cream tone. For cultural events, festive days and anyone who likes their Banarasi richness a little more understated.
