The piece & its details
A rich black silk kurta fabric, scattered with small floral buttis in gold-toned and silver-toned thread throughout — refined and understated, deepening into a fuller floral border with a wide gold-toned tissue band along the hemline.
Paired with a coordinating dupatta in a graduated grey-to-black ombré, striped with fine tissue borders and finished with a rich chevron-and-vine zari border in warm gold-toned tones along both ends — a substantial, festive counterpart to the plainer kurta body, edged with matching tassels.
Please note: this is a two-piece set comprising kurta fabric and dupatta only — no trouser or bottom fabric is included. Black or charcoal grey silk trousers keep the palette tonal; antique gold also works well as a contrast.
Woven in silk, the fabric has a smooth, structured hand well suited to tailoring, with the gold-toned buttis catching the light softly as it moves.
