The piece & its details
A mauve-lavender Banarasi pure silk sari with a cool silver zari tanchoi body, softened by small meenakari butis in red, orange and gold. The colour sits between lilac and orchid, making the shimmer feel contemporary rather than heavy.
The border and pallu move into antique gold, with a natural floral bel and larger meenakari blooms across the end piece. For receptions, temple visits and evening functions where lavender needs a little ceremony.
