The piece & its details
A mint-parrot green Banarasi katan silk sari with a bright polished ground and a full silver-and-gold zari weave. The body carries floral sprays and flowering-tree motifs, lifted with meenakari accents in deep red, wine and burnt orange.
The antique-toned border is woven with a dense floral bel, while the pallu opens into large kalga motifs on a rose-gold zari field. For weddings, pujas and festive ceremonies where fresh colour still needs real Banarasi weight.
